Auctions

We held our second auction on 12th March and are delighted to report that over 85% of the lots were sold!

The Royal Borough has not had its own property auction house for many years, so when we launched our auction department in the summer of last year we couldn't be completely confident as to whether it would succeed. We needn't have worried - it has been extremely well received and we are expecting a record number of lots in our next auction on Friday 11th June at the Copthorne Hotel, Slough

Although most properties are traditionally bought and sold in the usual way - by private treaty - more and more sellers, and therefore buyers, have had great success by trying the auction route. Whilst not all properties are suitable for sale by auction, with over 85% of the homes that went to auction on Friday selling it is certainly an option that could be worth considering.

For sellers, it can be the fastest way to sell and when the hammer comes down, you have effectively exchanged contracts and your buyer is legally committed and cannot change their mind.

For buyers, once you have bought - you cannot be gazumped and there is a fixed time scale of 28 days from purchase to completion.

As a potential seller - if you would like to know more, please speak to one of our team at either Maidenhead or Windsor and, as a buyer, make this page one of your Favourites and keep an eye on the properties that are going to be put up for auction on Friday 11th June.
