Home Information Packs
Inline with Government legislation all residential properties coming to the market now require a Home Information Pack (HIP)
A compliant HIP includes the following:
- Home Energy Pack index
- Evidence of title
- Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) - please see below
- Standard searches (local authority, water & drainage)
- Sale statement
- Further information for leasehold or commonhold sales if appropriate

The Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) gives a rating from A to G showing how efficient a property is. It also states how this could be improved should certain cost-effective energy saving improvements and recommendations be followed.
The EPC is carried out by a qualified Domestic Energy Assessor (DEA).
